LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was shot to death in an apartment building on Guardian Court in south Louisville, a metro police spokesperson said.
The incident was reported to police about 5:45 p.m. Monday. The man died after an argument in a hallway, Ofc. Carey Klain said.
"There was a report of an altercation just about the same time as the shooting was called in. The victim does not live in the apartments," Klain said.
"It's unclear why the victim was here at the apartments."
Klain described the victim as a white male in his 30s who suffered at least one gunshot wound. His name had not been released as of 9:40 p.m. Monday. An autopsy was likely Tuesday.
Dectectives were speaking with possible witnesses and neighbors about what they might have seen or heard before the shooting. The building is part of Guardian Court Apartments, in the 6100 block of Guardian Court, west of Preston Highway and north of Fern Valley Road.
