LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – According to a press release from his campaign staff, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell officially filed his paperwork for re-election Tuesday in Kentucky with the signatures of the other two statewide elected Republicans, Senator Rand Paul and Agriculture Commissioner James Comer. In correlation with the filing, campaign staff released a new video titled "United," which is expected to be backed by a substantial online and social media push.

The video includes comments made by Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner James Comer as they signed Sen. McConnell's papers for re-election.

In the video, Sen. Paul says, "What he has done and what allows him to be the most powerful Republican up there is that he can pull people together - united on Obamacare, united on a balanced budget amendment."

At the signing, Agriculture Commissioner James Comer said "I'm honored to be here to show my support for Sen. McConnell and I want to thank you for the great work that you're doing in Washington and we're going to do everything we can to send you back."

Sen. McConnell has already been endorsed by nearly every elected Republican in the Commonwealth.
