CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- The old Value City Furniture building in Clarksville caught fire just after noon Wednesday.

Fire officials say the fire was contained to a debris pile and it was put out quickly.

They say the damage looks a lot worse than it really is because the structure is currently being demolished.

The building is under construction to make way for a New Tech School for the Clarksville Community School Corp.

Construction will not be delayed due to the fire.

The Clarksville Fire Department believes an ember in the debris pile started the fire.
