LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The suspect in a Dec. 30 bank robbery has been charged and sits in the Harrison County, Ind., jail awaiting a new court date.
Lori Kiesler of Palmyra is charged with robbery, criminal confinement and theft stemming from the robbery of the First Harrison Bank branch in Palmyra. She was being held Wednesday in jail on a $50,000 full cash bond. Online court records did not indicate a date had been set for her next pre-trial hearing. Charges and a probable cause affidavit were filed in the case Friday.
Police said Kiesler walked into the bank with a firearm, demanded cash, then fled from a back door of the bank. A motorist in a drive-through lane saw the robbery through a window and called police, who later located Kiesler.
No one was hurt, police said.
Bank workers recognized Kiesler as a former employee of the bank, police said.
Kiesler was under the care of a medical facility after the robbery, Harrison Co. police chief Wayne Kessinger told WDRB News last week. Police located Kiesler quickly, but wanted to wait until she had been treated at the medical facility before filing charges, Kessinger said.
