POLICE: Pedestrian killed at Memphis, Ind. truck stop

MEMPHIS, Ind. (WDRB) -- ISP and Clark County Sheriff's officials confirm a man was hit and killed at a truck stop in Memphis.

Clark County Sheriff's Deputy Chief Brian Meyer says it appears a large vehicle struck a man in the parking lot of the Pilot Truck Stop off exit 16 on I-65.

Meyer says it appears a vehicle hit the man, and it's believed to be an accident. They have not yet determined who hit the man.

They are encouraging anyone with information to give them a call at the Clark County Sheriff's Office.

Police are looking at surveillance video, and are conducting interviews to try to determine what happened.

The victim has not been identified. They are not sure yet if he may have been a truck driver.
