LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Western Kentucky University has named Jeff Brohm as its new head football coach.

He has also served as the quarterbacks' coach at U of L and as an assistant coach there.

This is his first head coaching position.

In his news conference yesterday, Bobby Petrino said he felt Brohm was ready for a head football coaching position.

The school will introduce Brohm as head coach to the public at 4:30 eastern time today at L.T. Smith Stadium.
