LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Pennsylvania police say there is no link between a weekend interstate murder and the murder of a Bardstown Police officer.

"Yesterday, the task force was contacted by the Kentucky State Police in regard to an incident they are investigating in which a police officer was ambushed as he removed debris from a roadway several months ago," said Cpt. Steven Junkins of the Pennsylvania State Police. "At this point there is nothing to suggest that their incident is linked in any way to the murder of Timothy Davison."

Davidson was gunned down early Saturday on I-81 just north of the Maryland state line. Kentucky State Police spoke with Pennsylvania investigators to see if there were any similarities between Davidson's murder and that of Bardstown Officer Jason Ellis.

Ellis was killed in May.

Police have no suspects in either murder.
