LMAS charges man in dumping of animal carcass

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - The disturbing discovery of a dead animal behind a gas station has led to charges against a man.

Metro Animal Services officers have charged Jamey Osterhoudt with criminal littering and dumping.

MAS officials claim he admitted to dumping the animal weeks ago behind at dumpster at Valley College Drive and Stonestreet Road in Valley Station.

Initially, it was believed the mutilated animal was a dog, but MAS offcials say Osterhoudt claims it was a coyote that was shot and killed in Shelby County.

Further tests are being done to determine the type of animal. The investigation is ongoing.
