LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Nine Louisville students have been wondering how much trash they produce each week. That's why they'll carry around all the trash they produce each day for the next week.
All the students are members of Our Earth Now, an youth-led organization for high school and college students. Our Earth Now aims to help the community become more sustainable, and is a program of Kentucky Interfaith Power & Light.
The teens are hoping to bring about awareness of how much trash the typical person creates on a daily basis.
The week runs from 8 p.m. January 12 - 8 p.m. January 19.
At the end of the week all the students will gather together and share their experiences through a blog and social media.
