Operation Me: How to stay in shape at any age

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- As we go through the various stages in our lives, exercising and movement take form in different priorities.

No longer are we generally focused on building muscle or getting a six pack, instead many people focus on balance, flexibility and movement in general.

Fitness trainer Michelle Yeager Turner is joined by her mother-in-law, Brenda Sharpe, to demonstrate ways to stay active at any age.

Operation Me:

2014 is going to be the year of YOU!  Join others in the Louisville area for our Accountability groups geared toward helping you meet your health and/or weigh loss goals. Each session will consist of:

*goal setting
*personal reflections
*group activity
*short workouts
Surround yourself with people that are have similar goals that will support and cheer you on to achieve yours. Sessions start early January. Space is limited!

About Michelle Yeager Turner:

Getting active and motivated is tough for many women--especially after having a baby. But Michelle Yeager-Turner had many challenges to bring her beloved son Maximus into the world. Gymnastics as a child, cheerleading in high school and even competitive bodybuilding couldn't prepare her for the toll it took on her body. Add ten weeks bed rest, and Michelle was ready to get moving, after her son arrived.

But she found it difficult to work out because not many gyms were sympathetic to her son crying in daycare. So Michelle found another way. She created her own at-home workouts. She learned a lot about herself and what it takes to get back on track.
