LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- 110 million people: that's the estimated number of victims affected after Target says criminals hacked their way into the retailer's system, stealing credit and debit card information.
Today the retail giant took out an ad apologizing to shoppers.
Target also revealed that other guest information -- such as names, addresses and phone numbers -- was also taken. The retailer says it failed to live up to the responsibility of caring for all of its shoppers, but they vow to earn back trust and confidence, promising to stop at nothing to make this right.
"I would imagine just about anyone is susceptible to some of this now," said one shopper. "That's what makes me uncomfortable."
