LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they have arrested a Jeffersonville, Ind. woman after she allegedly robbed a Circle K Sunday morning.
The alleged incident happened on Jan. 12, shortly after 11 a.m., at the Circle K. on S. 3rd St., near the ramp to the Watterson Expressway.
According to an arrest report, 25-year-old Linsey H. Crider walked into the store, told the clerk she was armed with a gun, and demanded cash. Police say the clerk started to give her the cash, but a struggle ensued, and the clerk was able to snatch the money back.
During the struggle, Crider allegedly hit the clerk with a blunt object, inflicting a minor injury.
Police say Crider turned herself in Monday night and confessed to the crime. Her attorney told a judge Tuesday morning that she didn't actually have a gun during the alleged incident -- she only claimed to.
