LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested less than a month after Louisville Metro Police say he and an unknown accomplice robbed a local family, going as far as to fire a weapon into the wall with a 4-year-old child present.
According to an arrest report, the alleged incident took place on Dec. 17.
Police say 19-year-old Tymarius R. Malone and another unidentified suspect knocked on the door of the home, and when the victim tried to answer the door, they pushed their way inside.
Inside was a woman, her 82-year-old father, and her 4-year-old grandchild.
Malone and his accomplice pointed guns at the victim and her family, according to an arrest warrant, and fired a shot into the living room wall. They then allegedly took an iPad, a Samsung Galaxy smartphone and an Android smartphone. The total estimated value of the stolen property was $1,400, police say.
They then allegedly drove away in a grey or brown four-door Pontiac.
Police were later able to take photographs of the scene, and remove a bullet from the home. One of the victims was able to identify Malone from a photo, police say.
A warrant was issued for his arrest two days later. Malone was taken into custody by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office just before 3:30 Wednesday morning and charged with first-degree robbery and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
