Pedestrian struck near PRP High School

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A high school student who was struck by a vehicle this morning was not seriously injured.  

It happened around 7:30 a.m. at Greenwood Road and Columbine Drive on the southern corner of PRP High School.

JCPS officials say the female student was crossing Greenwood Road to get to school when she was knocked down by a pickup truck.

JCPS spokesman Ben Jackey says she was not in a crosswalk when she was struck.  

The student was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital with minor injuries and is expected to be OK.

Police say no charges will be filed against the driver.
