Floyd County bills for David Camm trial still piling up

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana county says big bills are still piling up from the David Camm murder trial.

The Floyd County auditor says the county still owes $659,000 in bills - with most of that for defense expenses.

The county council has approved a resolution to hire a special counsel to represent the county at an upcoming court hearing to discuss the bills.

The three Camm trials have cost the county more than $3 million.

Camm was convicted twice, but those were overturned on appeal.
