Louisville introduced itself to the Atlantic Coast Conference with authority, dominating Miami in the second half for an opening-game victory.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Kentucky lawmaker has filed legislation to allow monkeys to be kept as service animals.
Senator John Schickel says a girl in northern Kentucky was in a tragic accident and is paralyzed from the neck down.
Her family reached out to an organization in Massachusetts called "Helping Hands." It trains service animals to help people who have severe paralysis.
However, the organization denied the family's request because Kentucky doesn't have an exemption for service monkeys. Some animal rescue centers are against the idea. They say there are many sanitary and safety risks, and many service primates end up being turned over to shelters.
