LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Snow flakes are flying across the area and picking up the pace Tuesday morning.

Keith Kaiser is in Memphis, Indiana just off of I-65 where about two inches are covering the roadways early this morning.

The snow is fluffy and accumulating quickly.

Parts of our area are under a winter storm warning.

The Metro Louisville area can expect up to two to three inches of snowfall.

Clark County, Floyd County and Oldham County are a few areas that could see up to six inches of snow by the end of the afternoon.

Temperatures continue to drop and will reach below freezing through the rest of the week.

Wind speeds will also pick up as the day continues.

Several schools are closed today, including JCPS, Floyd County, and Oldham County, due to the inclimate weather.
