LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they have arrested a Louisville woman who worked at a local rehab facility.
According to an arrest report, the alleged incident took place on Friday evening, just after 6:30.
Police say they executed a search warrant at Injury Rehab Specialists of Louisville, on Preston Hwy., just south of E. Indian Trail.
According to an arrest report, 25-year-old Cynthia D. Allen admitted to police that she had been forging numerous medical prescriptions for hydrocodone. Police say there hadn't been any medical professionals at the facility since October, but Allen was able to use the information from previously employed medical professionals to create the forgeries.
Allen allegedly told police that when pharmacies called to verify the prescriptions, she would verbally authorize them on the phone, providing information for nonexistent patients.
Allen was arrested and charged with multiple counts of unlawful procurement of a controlled substance.
