LMPD: Teen charged with attempted murder for shooting at officer

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 17-year-old is charged with the attempted murder of a police officer in connection with a shooting at 34th and Garland Ave., Jan 12.

The LMPD Public Integrity Unit arrested the teen, after he allegedly fired shots at officer Brian Wilson, who was not hit.

He is charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence and fleeing and evading.

The teen is being held at the Louisville Metro Youth Detention Center.

Officers were originally dispatched to the Shorty's Food Mart at 35th and Broadway on a report of a mother having trouble with her kids.
