LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested two employees of a local rehab facility in less than a week.
According to an arrest report, police arrested 43-year-old Kelly A. Lenning Wednesday afternoon.
Police say she was an employee of Injury Rehab Specialists of Louisville, located on Preston Hwy., just south of E. Indian Trail.
Between Jan. 2013 and Dec. 2013, police say Lenning phoned in and forged numerous unauthorized prescriptions.
None of the prescription recipients were actual patients, according to the arrest report.
Lenning is the second employee of the facility to be arrested in less than a week. Police say they executed a search warrant at that location on the night of Friday, Jan. 17.
According to an arrest report, 25-year-old Cynthia D. Allen admitted to police that she had also been forging numerous medical prescriptions for hydrocodone. Police say there hasn't been any medical professionals at the facility since October, but Allen was able to use the information from previously employed medical professionals to create the forgeries.
Allen allegedly told police that when pharmacies called to verify the prescriptions, she would verbally authorize them on the phone, providing information for nonexistent patients.
Both Lenning and Allen were arrested and charged with multiple counts of unlawful procurement of a controlled substance.
Louisville Metro Corrections officials say no mugshot of Lenning is available.
