Bellarmine basketball team to play tonight, despite Chicago crash
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Bellarmine men's basketball team will play tonight -- a day after the team was involved in a hit-and-run crash near Chicago.
It happened on I-65, just south of Chicago last night.
Coach Scott Davenport says his players were watching the U of L - South Florida game, when a pickup truck hauling a trailer jackknifed in front of them and hit the side of the bus.
No one was hurt, but the driver of the truck did not stop.
The team spent the night in Crown Point to wait for another bus.
Bellarmine was on the way to Wisconsin for tonight's game against Wisconsin-Parkside.
