LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More than 630,000 people visited the Kentucky Bourbon Trail in 2013, setting a new attendance record for the tour that showcases the state's bourbon distilleries.
The record is a 12 percent increase from 2012, and includes numbers from Heaven Hill's Evan Williams Bourbon Experience, which opened in the fall of 2013 as the first Louisville stop on the trail.
Visitors in 2013 came from all 50 states and 50 countries or territories.
The Kentucky Distillers' Association says 571,701 people visited the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, and an additional 61,698 traveled the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour in its first full year, for a total of 633,399 distillery guests statewide.
