LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Indiana University student is behind bars after police say he tried to make a bomb.
Ryder Pickens, age 20, was arrested after police say dangerous chemicals and other bomb-making materials were found in his apartment.
Pickens has pleaded not guilty to the charges and denies trying to make an explosive, although he admits he had the chemicals to do it. Before he was arrested, Pickens was sent to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
IU says Pickens is a student from Danville, Ky.
He's now being held in the Monroe County, Ind. jail on a $1 million bond.
