LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man DNA evidence linked to a 1995 murder just four years ago pleads guilty in court.

Nearly 20 years after the crime, Brian Sturgeon pleaded guilty Friday, Jan. 24 to murdering Debra Wright, who was found dead in her Portland apartment.

Sturgeon wasn't charged in her death until 2009, when DNA evidence linked him to the crime.

Sturgeon was sentenced to 20 years in prison, which he will serve concurrently with a 45-year sentence in South Carolina for a separate murder.
