LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is accused of snatching a woman's purse from a shopping cart in the parking lot of a Walmart, then dragging her from his car when she tried to get it back.

According to an arrest report, it happened around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 21 at the Walmart on the Outer Loop near New Cut Lane. That's where police say 20-year-old Trent Joyner, along with a known co-defendant, snatched the purse from the woman's cart.

As the victim tried to retrieve her purse and other belongings, Joyner and his alleged accomplice sped away in Joyner's vehicle, "dragging the victim a short distance."

Joyner was arrested in the 5400 block of New Cut Road a few days later. Police say Joyner admitted his involvement in the crime.

He's charged with one count of robbery.
