LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Ky. Sen. Rand Paul has offered his reaction to President Barack Obama's Tuesday night State of the Union address.
Paul said he feels he heard nothing new in President Obama's speech.
"If you were listening to him, you might have felt like everything's fine, the country is thriving again. Twenty million people are either out of work, underemployed or given up looking for work -- 20 million people. If you measured it like we used to, 13 percent unemployment. We have a lot of problems."
Sen. Paul said government spending does not create jobs and that democracy of the marketplace is the only thing capable of making that happen.
