LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Ford Truck Plant on Chamberlain Lane may soon be hiring new workers.
WDRB has learned that new jobs are expected to be announced at a news conference planned for Thursday.
Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer and high ranking Ford executives are scheduled to appear at the event, which will include a tour of the plant.
The Ford Truck Plant on Chamberlain Lane manufactures the popular F-Series Super Duty Truck.
During the past several years Ford has added workers at its Louisville Assembly Plant on Fern Valley Road where the Escape is manufactured.
Ford officials say 2013 was one of the best years ever for the company.
