LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman has been arrested after police say she was dealing drugs near a Louisville middle school.
According to an arrest warrant, it happened Dec. 18. Police say 33-year-old Amber D. White was within 1,000 feet of Kennedy Metropolitan Middle School on Taylorsville Road, near Stony Brook Drive, when she was stopped by police.
Police say she was seen leaving an area known for drug trafficking. When officers stopped her, she was allegedly found in possession of Suboxone, hydrocodone and tramadol.
According to an arrest report, White admitted that she had just purchased the pills, with the intent of re-selling them. She also allegedly admitted that she regularly purchased, sold and used the pills, which she obtained from a friend who lives in Arbor Pointe apartments, near the middle school.
A warrant was issued for White's arrest on Jan. 28, and she was taken into custody the next day. She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.
