Ind. governor asking farmers to turn in unused propane
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ind. Gov. Mike Pence is asking for more propane.
The state is one of many in an energy emergency. Farmers and others in Indiana are being asked to return any unused propane to suppliers as the state struggles with a shortage.
Pence also announced he's extending travel waivers to keep propane flowing to those who rely on it. He's also adding $5 million in heating assistance for low-income families.
Pence estimates 500,000 Hoosiers rely on propane to heat their homes.
