Danielle Lama joined the WDRB news team in January 2014 as a general assignment reporter. She comes from Madison, Wisconsin where she spent the past two years working as a multimedia journalist.
While in Wisconsin, Danielle covered a number of stories that landed in the national spotlight including Governor Scott Walker's recall election and Rep. Paul Ryan's race for the White House as the nominee for Vice President. She reported live from the scene of the Sikh Temple shooting, giving viewers important information about what happened as it unfolded throughout the day.
Danielle has been recognized by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association for both her breaking news and feature reporting. She got her first job in journalism at WEHT in Evansville, Indiana.
She graduated from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. While in school, Danielle interned with TV news stations in Washington, DC and Baltimore.
Danielle is happy to call Louisville home. She's excited to check out all of the restaurants the city has to offer and experience her first Derby!
Danielle is originally from Ithaca, New York.
