Bacon Bourbon Caramel Brownie Cobbler: Kroger Chef Paul Dowell

Bacon Bourbon Caramel Brownie Cobbler

Makes 10 to 12 servings.

1 pound Unsalted butter

1 pound Kroger Thick Cut Sugar Cured Bacon (cooked crisp and crumbled large)

1-12 oz. bagKroger Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (1 ¾ c kept separate)

4 cups Sugar

8 Eggs

½ cup Bourbon

1 2/3 cups All-Purpose Flour

1 teaspoon Salt

½ -11 oz. bagCaramels

Preheat oven to 350. Spray and flour a 9x13 baking dish.

Melt butter. Once butter is melted and still warm, remove from heat and add 1 ¾ cups chocolate chips

Whisk in sugar.

Whisk in eggs, one at a time.

Whisk in bourbon.

Whisk in flour and salt.

Fold in crumbled bacon, caramels and the rest of the chocolate chips. Pour into prepared baking dish.

Bake at 350 for about 35-40 minutes. The middle should jiggle slightly.

This is a great dish served at room temperature, but is also "smack your momma good" served warm with vanilla ice cream.
