Beer Candied Bacon - Lynette Defevers, Controller

1 lb thick cut bacon
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup + 2tbsp beer 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Combine brown sugar and beer in small bowl. Whisk well to break up lumps and form a thin syrup.  Set aside.

Either use a wire cooling rack above a cookie sheet, or a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.  Separate bacon slices and line up on rack or on paper, overlapping slightly if necessary.  

Brush top side of bacon with the syrup.  Bake in oven 10 minutes.  Remove from oven, turn bacon, brush top side with syrup.  Place back in oven for another 10 minutes.  Repeat process one or more times until bacon is cooked thoroughly. 

Total cooking time: 40 minutes.
