Rick Bozich of WDRB posts his weekly vote in the AP College Basketball Top 25 poll.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – I had a more difficult time
settling on a Top 25 for my Associated Press college basketball poll ballot
than the Denver Broncos had trying to tackle the Seattle Seahawks Sunday night.
Time out. I believe the Seahawks just forced another fumble.
Of course, there was one good thing about the Super Bowl
smackdown: I had plenty of time to work on my AP selections, tossing several
teams from last week and looking for some fresh faces.
Only 15 teams that I voted for last week lost at least once
over the last week. Several lost twice – bye, bye UMass and Pittsburgh. Hello
VCU and California.
I only dropped Arizona one spot for losing to California,
but the Wildcats suffered a bigger loss with the news that forward Brandon
Ashley is out for the reason with a broken foot.
Time to give more love to Florida, which has won 13 straight
and remains unbeaten in the Southeastern Conference.
I also gave more love to Cincinnati after watching the
Bearcats' impressive win at Louisville Thursday. Ditto for Texas, which is
quietly putting together a solid season by winning six straight Big 12 games.
Two Big Ten teams disappeared – Ohio State and Wisconsin.
Hard to believe the Buckeyes and Badgers were both unbeaten a month ago.
