LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Milton, Ky. woman has been accused of raping a sodomizing a man who was serving time at a halfway house after being paroled from the Kentucky State Reformatory.

The woman worked as a corrections officer at the time the alleged victim says the events took place, according to an arrest warrant.

Authorities say the victim claimed he was attacked between Jan. 5 and Jan. 11.

According to the warrant, 39-year-old Samantha Verner was employed as a corrections officer when she met the victim, a man who was previously incarcerated at the Kentucky State Reformatory before being sent to the halfway house in Jefferson County.

The victim was paroled on Jan. 2, and on Jan. 15, authorities say he contacted authorities to tell them about an inappropriate sexual relationship that existed between himself and Verner. The alleged victim claimed that Verner had threatened to send him back to prison if he was unwilling to continue the relationship.

The alleged victim went on to show authorities nude images of Verner that Verner supposedly sent to his phone. He also showed authorities text messages sent by Verner in which Verner threatened the victim, according to the arrest warrant.

The next day, Verner was approached by authorities, and allegedly admitted to engaging in sexual intercourse and sex acts with the victim while he was a parolee being supervised by the Department of Corrections.

Verner was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and charged with third degree rape, third degree sodomy and first degree official misconduct.
