LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It's a simple message to help keep a southern Indiana toddler alive.

"We're asking anyone -- how old you are, it doesn't matter, as long as your healthy and you're able to give -- please come out and support," Mary Grimes, grandmother of 3-year-old Dylan Wiseman.

A blood drive is being held today for Wiseman. The young boy has been in the hospital since last November, diagnosed with aplastic anemia, a disorder where the bone marrow fails to make enough blood cells.

Since June, Wiseman has needed more than 100 units of blood or platelets.

Today's drive at Nelson's Garage in Jeffersonville where Wiseman's grandfather works until 6 p.m.
