Expanded gambling proposal lacks support in Kentucky

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Expanded gambling in Kentucky lacks Senate support.

Senate Majority Caucus Chairman Dan Seum says he hasn't given up on the issue, but he says he hasn't lined up enough support to get a proposed ballot measure aimed at legalizing casinos through the Kentucky Senate.

Other proposals have been introduced in the Senate and House.

Ky. Gov. Steve Beshear supports expanded gambling to get more money for the state.
