LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The family's pastor says the two surviving members of the Muhlenberg County family killed in a house fire are improving and could possibly be released from the hospital by the end of the week.

Calvary Baptist Church in Central City posted a picture of Chad Watson and his 11-year-old daughter, Kylie, on its Facebook page.

In the picture, the father and daughter are seen smiling and wearing #WatsonStrong shirts.

Pastor Tim Burden says a Celebration of Life service will be held for the family Feb. 23 at 2 p.m., in Muhlenberg County High School's Felix Martin Hall. Burden says Chad Watson will speak at the event.

LaRae "Nikki" Watson and eight of her children were laid to rest on Saturday.

KSP investigators say an electric baseboard heater caused a fire in their home. Chad and Kylie Watson were the only survivors.

Since the deadly fire, community members have rallied around the survivors to help their recovery and beyond.

Tucker Funeral Home in Central City covered the expense of the funerals, and The Band Perry paid for the monuments, flowers and hotel stays for family members.

Jagoe Homes also offered to build a new home for the Watson family.
