Horseshoe Southern Indiana, KentuckyOne Health, LG&E, Meijer and UPS will all be returning as sponsors for the event, and Valero will join them this year.
McDonald's will sponsor the Thunder Funder program and will donate a portion of its local drink sales to support Thunder over Louisville.
"Thunder has grown, and with the sponsorship additions that we've had and also the sponsorship through Thunder Funder and Ford's Thunder on the Ground and the partnerships that we've done with these great folks, it makes risk taking a little easier," said Mike Berry, Kentucky Derby Festival president.
