LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville Metro Police arrested a man Tuesday, after they say he fired a gun at a man and struck him three times, causing serious injuries, according to an arrest report.
Police say that on Feb. 9, Glenn T. Browning, 20, and another man got into a verbal argument on S. 34th St. Police say the argument escalated when Browning pulled out a gun and fired at the man, striking him in the right abdomen, right shoulder, and left hip.
Browning fled from the scene following the shooting. The shooting victim attempted to drive himself to Kosair Children's Hospital after being shot, but had to be driven by Browning's mother. The victim and Browning's mother are in a relationship, according to police records.
The victim was initially taken to Kosair Children's Hospital, but was later transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. The victim is still at U of L Hospital and has had one surgery and will need to undergo a second surgery, according to police.
Browning was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with attempted murder.
