LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A pair of Catholic schools teamed up to help feed Louisville families Wednesday.
Students from Holy Trinity delivered more than 1,400 canned and boxed food items to the Sister Visitor Center on W. Market.
The center visits those who live in poverty, providing food as well as transpiration, and helps with medical needs and utilities.
"It will help us serve approximately maybe 35 or 40 more families than we already serve, and just stretch our food beyond what we normally get from Dare to Care," said Sister Michele Intravia, with Sister Visitor Center.
Students from St. Nicholas Academy are collecting another 500 canned and boxed food items that will be delivered next week.
