LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Keith Kaiser dives into the savory tastes of gravy from local chefs and helps out a local organization.
Louisville's 2nd Annual Gravy Cup competition benefiting Boys and Girls Haven is Sunday, February 16th from Noon to 4:00 pm.
The competition will take place at the Vernon Club, 1575 Story Avenue in Louisville.
Just like chili, hot wings and BBQ, everyone thinks THEIR gravy is the BEST but, they haven't had a chance to compete.
NOW they do, all while benefiting a great cause.
The competition will consist of two classes the Professional Class and the Home Pros.
Within each of the classes will be 2 categories, a Traditional (sausage roux) and a Non-traditional (red-eye, vegetarian and any other creative interpretations).
A judge's panel will choose winners in each category.
There will also be a PEOPLE'S CHOICE award that will be decided via a pay per vote system.
Tickets are $10 at the door or CLICK HERE for advanced tickets or visit the Vernon Club.
Proceeds from this year's competition will support Boys and Girls Haven in their mission to provide a home and a future to struggling youth in our community.
