LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Weeks of propane shortages for Indiana and Kentucky customers could be coming to an end.
The 500,000 Indiana residents who heat their homes with propane have been faced with skyrocketing prices this winter.
One Kentucky woman says she pre-ordered hundreds of gallons of propane last summer, but when she tried to get those gallons delivered, she was told she had to pay the current price, which is much higher.
"What I can't understand is, if they could bring me 100 gallons at $3.599 [per gallon], why can't they bring me the 100 gallons I already paid for at $1.699 [per gallon]?" asked Debbie Lowhorn, an unhappy customer.
The average price of propane in Indiana jumped nearly $1.50 per gallon during the month of January.
