LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An ambulance rushed to Kosair Children's Hospital Friday morning for a special delivery.
It arrived with close to 200,000 Valentine's Day cards. Local radio station 102.3 "The Max" set a goal of 2,000 for the "Cupid's Kids" campaign.
"Overwhelming," said George Lindsey, DJ for the radio station. "It shows you what Kosair means to the community. We love working with them and to be able to touch a child. It brings us outside of that, 'Man, do we have the right dinner reservations for tonight? Did I get flowers for my spouse?' This is about true love for the kids."
The cards were put in gift bags with other goodies and were taken to each child inside the hospital.
