Catholic activists call for fairness

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Catholic activists gathered outside the Cathedral of the Assumption tonight to call for fairness.

The group, led by the fairness campaign, wants Louisville Archbishop Joseph Kurtz to support statewide anti-discrimination protections.

The group used a quote from Pope Francis that says "Who am I to judge?" as their call for Catholics to support LGBT community members.

State Representative Jim Wayne turned out to support the group and speak about state legislation currently being debated in the house judiciary committee.
