LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Kansas slipped against Kansas State last Monday. Then San Diego State lost at Wyoming on Tuesday. Those were the opening clues that the usual potholes were swallowing teams in the Associated Press college basketball Top 10.
By Sunday evening, three other Top 10 teams had also finished their weeks with losses – Arizona, Villanova and Michigan State.
Do they allow beards in the Top 10? They'd better.
Those five defeats should bump the University of Louisville back into the Top 10, even if they have decided not to shave.
I moved the Cards into the ninth spot on my ballot, pushing them ahead of wounded Michigan State, Villanova and Kentucky.
What did I do with the Wildcats? They started their week with a lackluster win at Auburn and then finished it by failing to stop Florida down the stretch at Rupp Arena.
I moved UK from 11th to 15th.
Welcome back to a few familiar faces on my ballot – Wisconsin, which had a nice win at Michigan, and North Carolina, which has won six in a row.
