Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The serial robbery suspect who shot and killed himself in the Highlands Saturday night has now been identified.

The coroner says 33-year-old Brandon Wight of Jeffersonville, Ind. was pronounced dead at the scene of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Police say Wight robbed a Marathon gas station on Poplar Level Road and nine other businesses recently.

When officers tried to question Wight near Atherton High School on Saturday, police say Wight shot himself in his car.
