LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville's Metro Council Planning and Zoning Committee is expected to decide Tuesday afternoon whether to approve a zoning change request by the owner of the Waverly Hills Sanitorium.
The site is referred to as one of the scariest places on earth. The sanitorium is a popular destination for ghost hunters and haunted house enthusiasts.
The property's owner, Charlie Mattingly, wants to turn Waverly Hills into a hotel and convention center.
The Metro Planning and Zoning Commission has already approved the request. The committee will review its decision and recommend whether it should be approved by the full council.
