Widow of former Holiday World president granted power over park

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - The widow of the former president of Holiday World will still be in control of the amusement park.

The ruling was handed down from the Indiana Supreme Court.

On Monday, the court declined to review a state appeals court ruling that Lori Koch could maintain 60% ownership of the park. She took control of the shares after the sudden death of her husband Will Koch in 2010.

Will Koch's brother Dan had tried to buy his shares, but the appeals court ruled that his $27 million offer violated the terms of an agreement if any siblings died.

Dan Koch says he wants to continue his involvement with the park.
