Former S.E. Bullitt volunteer firefighter accused of impersonating a peace officer
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former Southeast Bullitt volunteer firefighter has been arrested for impersonating an officer.
Joey Stinnett was arrested on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty in court this morning.
Investigators say he was working security in the parking lot of a Louisville bar and saw a traffic accident. Police say he turned on his emergency lights in his personal car and wore a black jacket which showed his name and a silver badge.
He also had the word "Traffic" embroidered on his collar.
A couple of weeks ago, Stinnett had come to WDRB News with allegations of falsified training records at the Southeast Bullitt Fire Department.
Stinnett entered a not guilty plea in the case. A preliminary hearing has been set for March 13. No bond has been set.
