LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two people were arrested after authorities say they were involved in a prostitution sting.

Rodney McNeary Jr. and Brittany Prather were arrested Feb. 18 at the Days Inn on Fern Valley Road after police say they discovered the pair taking part in a prostitution sting following an undercover investigation, according to an arrest report.

Police reportedly saw McNeary dropping Prather off at a room at the Days Inn, where she allegedly offered to engage in sexual activities with a detective in exchange for about $200.

McNeary stayed in his car and waited for Prather to exit the hotel room. Officers approached McNeary's vehicle and requested him to get out of his car. When asked by officers to reveal the contents in his left hand, he refused.

Police records say that McNeary then attempted to throw the contents on the ground in plain view of the officers.

The items were retrieved and were discovered to be a large piece of heroin and 40 Xanax pills that had been packaged for sale. McNeary also reportedly had a box of plastic baggies in his vehicle. Officers also uncovered a bundle of marijuana when they searched his vehicle.

Prather reportedly gave officers a full audio confession to the prostitution offense. She was also booked on several warrants in Indiana.

McNeary is charged with trafficking a controlled substance and marijuana possession. Prather is charged with prostitution.
